Members of a New York City Fire Department band described the heartbreak of playing the bagpipes at hundreds of funerals and memorials for fallen firefighters after 9/11. “You can't look at the children, even the wife, you got to look away because otherwise it'll tear you apart,” one piper told 60 Minutes’ Dan Rather.
