This is the type of play coaches show in film rooms when they talk about NEVER giving up on a play Alijah Clark looked like he was beaten. The ball carrier had space, the play was moving away from him, and it would’ve been easy to assume his job was finished. Instead, he kept chasing. No slowing down. No watching the play from behind. No assuming somebody else would make the tackle. Clark stayed with it, caught up and punched the football out. One forced fumble, but a perfect example of effort changing a football game. Talent gets most of the attention in the NFL, but plays like this are about something completely different. Hustle, awareness and refusing to quit when you’re seemingly out of the play.
