In the early 1990s, St. Louis was in the middle of the crack cocaine epidemic, and open-air drug dealing had become a daily reality on the streets. S.C.A.T. (Street Corner Apprehension Team ) was created to take that fight directly to the street corners. These officers weren't sitting behind desks. They were out there every day, making undercover buys, working dangerous neighborhoods and putting themselves in situations where they never really knew what was going to happen next. Former SLMPD Sgt. Ron Klier gives us a glimpse into how S.C.A.T. operated, but the real story is the men and women who made up those crews.
