Now 80 years old, Ron spent years working undercover in SLMPD Narcotics and was instrumental in starting the S.C.A.T. (Street Corner Apprehension Team), which was created to take on the street-level crack cocaine sales that were running rampant in St. Louis in the early 1990s. But ask the guys who worked with him, and they'll tell you there was much more to Ron Klier than police work. He was a mentor. He was funny as hell. He knew how to work a room, how to work a case and, most importantly, how to treat people. Ron had that rare ability to be respected by just about everybody who crossed his path.
