Our Essex Steam Train & Riverboat plans didn’t go as expected a stalled engine on my way to meet my friend the Amtrak train was smoking 🙃 and New York traffic had another idea for friend…But the day turned into something even better. I was so happy to see my friend ProfessorKG after time and distance apart; being together again felt effortless. We wandered the village, took photos near Gillette Castle, soaked in the scenery, and ended with amazing salmon at restaurant drift. Sometimes the detour becomes the memory. Oh I forgot to mentioned that in between I had a solo lunch at my favorite vegan restaurant Claire’s in New Haven, Ct.
