Hyrox truth bomb:
Your weekly 60 minute “maintenance” Hyrox class probably isn’t what’s going to make you faster.
It might make you sweat.
It might make you tired.
It might feel incredibly specific to Hyrox.
But doing a random mix of running, sleds, burpees, ergs and wall balls every week isn’t necessarily building the things you actually need to improve.
If you want to get faster at Hyrox, build the base.
Run consistently.
Build your aerobic capacity.
Get stronger.
Master the mechanics of every station.
Then progressively overload those areas over time.
Your Hyrox specific workouts are important.
But they should be the place where you bring your fitness together, not the only place you’re trying to build it.
Stop asking:
“How many Hyrox workouts should I do?”
Start asking:
“What part of my fitness actually needs to improve?”
Build the individual pieces.
Then put them together.
That’s how you actually get faster at Hyrox.
