The doctor described during Lucy Letby's trial as her "boyfriend" can now be identified. Mark Deakin, who died in July aged 53, had been protected by a court anonymity order that has now been lifted. Deakin worked alongside Letby, now 36, at the Countess of Chester Hospital during the period in which she murdered seven babies and attempted to murder seven others in 2015 and 2016.
