FBHCommunity hosted its quarterly health screening event as part of our Healthy Living in 32114 initiatives, sponsored by the Florida Blue Foundation. Forty community members participated in the free screening event at Dickerson Community Center after shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables at the weekly FBH Fresh Market. Volunteer medical professionals and students from Halifax Health, FSU College of Medicine, and the Daytona Beach Black Nurses Association generously donated their time and expertise to provide BMI, blood pressure, and Hemoglobin A1C screenings. Following their screenings, participants had the opportunity to speak directly with physicians and ask questions about their health and wellness.
