Did You Know? The Lemerand Center of Excellence, sponsored by FBH Community, Inc., provides academic support and enrichment for students in grades 3–5 from Palm Terrace Elementary and Turie T. Small Elementary. Since 2007, FBH Community has been committed to helping underprivileged students in Volusia and Flagler counties achieve academic success and reach proficiency in Language Arts and Mathematics on the State of Florida F.A.S.T. Assessment. Held at Daytona State College, the program operates Monday through Thursday. During the 2024–2025 school year, 100% of participating students improved in Math, and 84% showed growth in Language Arts, reflecting the program’s ongoing impact on student achievement and confidence.
