Since 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has honoured the rare métiers d’art, mastering the age-old craft of enamelling. The latest Alhambra collection highlights this heritage with craftsmanship techniques such as miniature painting enamel, grisaille enamel, and plique-à-jour - transparent enamel.
On this new collection, the Maison’s artisans have created a delicate blush-pink enamel inspired by the 17th-century “Rouge à L’or” (gold-ruby) technique, where microscopic gold particles infuse the material to achieve a luminous hue.
