Backpacks, and trails, and lakes — oh my! 🥾 In June 2026, National Park Trust funded a three-day backpacking trip for members of Buckley Space Force Base into the backcountry of Rocky Mountain National Park. The group climbed above 10,000 feet to camp near Lake Verna before a smaller crew pushed on another 6 miles to Fifth Lake, trading trail talk the whole way.
