SMU is hoping that it can establish the running game on Monday night with California running back transfer Kendrick Raphael, who finished with 943 yards and 13 touchdowns last year for the Golden Bears. Florida State’s defense only allowed New Mexico State’s James Jones to have 11 carries for 28 yards. Obviously, they will face a stiffer task this weekend against Raphael. One of the bigger concerns of the offseason was how the Seminoles were going to be able to stop the run.
