Fixing reactivity is NOT one size fits all. The best approach is a custom one. One that factors in where your dog is at and the environment they can handle. Part of “fixing” your dog is going to be fixing your handling! If they can’t handle being within 20ft of another dog without reacting
then why are you getting that close? You need to set up your training sessions for their success. Why? Because improvement is all about completing successful reps at least 85% of the time, then moving your dog closer to the trigger as they progress. Successful reps are not as easy to define, because they can involve reinforcement or punishment. Just because there is pressure doesn’t mean it wasn’t successful. Got a question on reactivity?
