The San Antonio Gunslingers are excited to announce the addition of Anson Yarborough to the coaching staff. Yarborough brings a wealth of experience to San Antonio, with a background that spans both playing and coaching at the professional arena level. His journey in the indoor game began as a player with the Florence Phantoms and included stops with the Cape Fear Heroes, Triangle Torch, Atlanta Havoc and Carolina Cobras, where he secured multiple championship titles along the way. In 2019, Yarborough transitioned his focus to coaching, beginning his career as Head Coach of the Carolina Havoc in the AAL. He continued to rise through the coaching ranks, eventually becoming Defensive Coordinator for the Carolina Cobras in the NAL. In his first season with the Cobras, Yarborough helped lead the league’s third-ranked defense before taking the unit to the top spot in his second season and helping lead the team to the championship game.
