You guys wanted to see more classic fits from old school celebrities and I wanted to show you some Dustin Hoffman. I considered his outfit from the graduate, but I haven't actually seen it, and I really like his overall costuming in Kramer vs. Kramer, so let's go with this one. I'm not sure how much I've said about them M-65 field jacket in the past, but they're great, iconic. They were an early cornerstone of the Charlie Kelly look, I guess because they're plentiful and cheap. But they also have strong position in our culture, inherited from both milsurp lovers and protestors who co-opted said milsurp, and now worn by everybody, referenced by designers, and, in 1979, a perfectly reasonable thing for an ad exec slash sweet, loving dad to wear with Gucci loafers.
