🇲🇦 Moroccan Jews were there before Morocco was Morocco. Before the Arab conquest, before Islam, before the founding of Fez itself. Three hundred thousand at their peak. Fewer than three thousand today. Two thousand years of Jewish life ended in about thirty years. The cemeteries are still there. The synagogues are still standing.
