How To Do Dips | Correct Technique
Key technique points:
• Use a pair of parallel dip bars, higher bars let you keep the legs fully straight and hip height also works
• Keep a straight body from the shoulders down to the knees, with the knees underneath you and not in front of the chest
• Start with straight arms and the biceps facing slightly inwards
• Let the elbows travel out to around 45 degrees on the way down, then bring them back in as you push up
Dips train the chest, triceps and front deltoids through a deep range of motion under full bodyweight.
