Indonesia has introduced online learning for schools in the Banten region after a volcanic eruption blanketed the province in ash. Schools will switch to remote learning for three days to reduce health risks to students, according to a statement. Ash from Anak Krakatau, located between the islands of Java and Sumatra, has also blanketed Jakarta and several surrounding areas since the volcano erupted on September 4, prompting the closure of airports for safety reasons.
