Indian professionals seeking an employment-based green card could face an estimated wait of up to 179 years in the U.S., according to a new analysis by the National Foundation for American Policy. The extreme delay is linked to a huge backlog of Indian applicants combined with annual limits on employment-based green cards and per-country caps. The backlog across the main employment-based categories reached an estimated 1.26 million people by the end of 2025, with Indians making up the overwhelming majority of those waiting. #india #usa #news #greencard
