The Kitchen for THE MART SHOWHOUSE is rooted in contrast. My starting point was scavolini’s cabinetry palette: dark, reeded wood panels and high-lacquer rust tones, which house the gaggenauofficial appliances. The result is a rich, sultry palette with a strong sense of depth and character. To soften the effect, I introduced more natural elements, beginning with innovationsusa’s “Trellis” wallcovering. Its ombré branch motif extends through the hallway and onto the glass-clad backsplash, complemented by blue animal-print from romo_fabrics on elegant hickorychair counter stools. A sculptural chandelier by allanknightdallas through aneesfurniture brings another botanical feature into the space. For the flooring I selected divineflooringusa’s Orleans French Oak in a black brushed finish that grounds the palette with a simple, refined texture, echoing the veining of the cabinetry and countertops.
