Two paintings by French Impressionist master Pierre-Auguste Renoir have been stolen from a museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer on the French Riviera.⁣ ⁣ The thieves broke into the Renoir Museum shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, entering through a hole they had made in a garden fence, according to local mayor Bryan Masson.⁣ ⁣ They also took two other Renoir paintings but dropped them in the museum gardens as police, alerted by alarms, arrived and gave chase.⁣ ⁣ It is not the first time artworks were stolen from a museum in Europe.
