After the devastating flash flood in Nepal last week, more than 1,000 people have been killed, and more than 4,400 are missing. A week on, search and rescue operations and humanitarian aid efforts are a desperate race against time.   A local Oxfam team member reported: “The devastation is cataclysmic—entire villages have been wiped out. A lot of bodies are being discovered on the banks and as far down as in India. The number of deaths is expected to rise in the coming days.”   Oxfam teams are responding now and seeking to scale up to meet urgent needs, including water purification tablets, temporary shelter, hygiene supplies, and more. We show up in disaster zones around the world and stay for as long as we’re needed—saving lives during crises and building communities that are resilient to future catastrophes. Link in bio to help. #nepal #nepalflood
