Nolan James Jr. is starting to look like a serious weapon for Notre Dame. The sophomore RB had 4 catches for 67 yards and a TD, and his footwork is next level. I’m getting a little Jahmyr Gibbs type of RB from the way he moves in space. CJ Carr didn’t play his best game and looked tight at times, playing not to fail with some hesitation and conservative play calling. But as he gets more comfortable with Mylan Graham, Quincy Porter when he returns from injury and Jaden Greathouse getting back into his 2024 flow, having a RB like James who can win as a receiver is huge. Aneyas finished with 20 carries for 90 yards and 2 TDs, and Notre Dame’s OL really woke up in the second half. This was a team with high expectations that needed a wake-up call after a sluggish first half. They got it.
