The number may still rise as rescue and identification efforts continue. Among those who lost their life was the bus driver, Sr. Djedjinho. Many of the victims were children, our children, our families, our future. 😭 As someone born in Fogo, this pain reaches home in a way words cannot explain. Behind every number is a life, a family, a mother, a father, siblings, friends, and dreams that were taken far too soon. 😭🫂 This tragedy must bring immediate support to the families and serious attention to road safety in Fogo and throughout Cabo Verde.
