Tommy Mahoney ran for 176 yards and three touchdowns as host Pearl River crushed Nanuet 42-0 Friday night, Sept. 4, in the teams' annual Little Brown Jug game. Nanuet couldn't control the senior running back, who will play Div. I lacrosse next year for Cornell. It also didn't do itself any favors with a bad snap on a planned punt on its first possession sailing back to the 5-yard line, a touchdown called back due to a penalty and then a big gain into Pearl River territory going for nothing. The next play was a fumble recovered by Pearl River. The Little Brown Jug win was Pearl River's fourth consecutive. ✍: Nancy Haggerty nancyhaggertysportsreporter / The Journal News/lohud.com 📹️📸: Peter Carr pcarrphoto / The Journal News/lohud.com #lohudsports #lohudfootball #highschoolfootball pearl_river_pirates_football nanuetfb #littlebrownjug
