A U.S. District Court of Colorado judge issued a preliminary injunction Friday that requires the NCAA to extend a fifth year of eligibility to class of 2022 athletes who competed in four seasons of college sports. The ruling comes after the NCAA adopted an age-based eligibility model in June, which allows college athletes five years of eligibility. That mandate, while not in effect until the fall 2027 term, does not include athletes in the 2022 class. The NCAA has the chance to appeal the preliminary injunction. Click the link in our bio to learn more.
