I think it was originally scripted at an exterior phone booth of a filling station, but while scouting, we passed by a pretty rundown laundromat that caught my attention. I love these kinds of raw locations. We had a couple of scenes where Carolina called her dad, but that phone call was a pivotal moment. It is at that moment that the story crosses the point of no return. I wanted that moment to stand out stylistically while keeping it feel dirty. I pitched to the_good_reverend13 (director) to go with the laundromat and asked francescampalombo (production designer) to add these classic neon lights in the windows. She brought these amazing flexible faux neon RGB LED strips, and we filled the laundromat fluorescent overhead fixtures (interior and exterior) with our 16 asteraofficial Titan tubes.
