Happy Self-Care Monday. 💚 I’m a little under the weather from these allergies, but apparently the message still had somewhere to be. The women of yesterday are our history, our teachers, and part of the reason women today can stand ten toes down in who we are. But some of y’all are still so distracted by what a woman looks like, what she wears, how much body she shows, or how she chooses to exist that you completely miss what she’s saying. And that’s the problem. If you’re listening with your eyes, you’re going to miss the message every single time. Sexuality does not cancel out wisdom. Sensuality does not cancel out intelligence. A woman being comfortable in her body does not make her incapable of teaching, healing, nurturing, or telling the truth.
