At the G20 finance ministers' meeting in Asheville, North Carolina this week, Bessent said AI companies have done a "horrendous job" explaining themselves to the American people, adding that the conversation around AI and data centers needs "a big reset." He argued the industry not just the government has a responsibility to explain how the AI buildout benefits ordinary Americans, not just corporations. Sosnoff agrees.
