The United States Mint has officially released the 2026 Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin, with rolls and bags going on sale September 2, 2026 as part of the yearlong celebration of America's 250th anniversary. The obverse of the coin, designed by US Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna from an official White House photograph, features a portrait of President Trump alongside the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the dual date 1776 ~ 2026. The reverse depicts the Presidential Seal, featuring the traditional bald eagle. The coin is struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a circulating finish, weighs 8.1 grams, and is composed of 88.5 percent copper, 6 percent zinc, 3.5 percent manganese, and 2 percent nickel.
