9 Years Ago, I Moved to the US. Here’s What I Wish I Knew.
9 years. 2 suitcases. A massive student loan. And a ridiculous amount of hope. 🇺🇸
Moving countries taught me lessons that no degree or job could have taught me:
→ You don’t need the whole plan. Just take the next step.
→ Learn to live with uncertainty.
→ Your career is shaped by the people you meet.
→ Small actions compound in ways you can’t predict.
→ Being early matters.
→ Your environment can change your ambition.
→ You’re allowed to reinvent yourself.
→ Dreams need execution, not just manifestation.
→ Never compare your beginning to someone else’s year nine.
If you’re currently figuring out your career, moving abroad, dealing with uncertainty, or wondering if you’re “behind” — give yourself time.
Nine years is a long time. Your life can change a LOT. ❤️
Save this for the days you need the reminder.
