One of Toronto’s best street parties is back. OssFest returns Saturday, July 25, closing Ossington Avenue between Dundas and Queen to cars and handing the whole strip over to pedestrians from 11AM to 10PM. It’s free, all ages, and rain or shine. What makes it different from most street festivals is that there are no food trucks. Instead, the restaurants and cafes that built Ossington’s reputation set up extended CafeTO patios for the day, so you’re eating from the actual businesses on the strip. There’s also a curated market of local vendors vetted by the BIA. Live music runs on the North Stage from the afternoon into the evening, headlined this year by Carole Pope with Tim Welch, backed by a day-long lineup of Toronto acts. It’s dog-friendly and family-friendly too. Ossington is closed to traffic from 5AM Saturday to 5AM Sunday, so take the 501 Queen or 505 Dundas streetcar and give yourself extra time. #toronto #canada #torontofood #vancouver #montréal
