Honey Pies BBQ just took over the old Bubba’s off Sunset and this Black woman-owned spot is serving up Texas style BBQ with all the southern sides we love! The grand opening was a whole EXPERIENCE - line out the door, DJs spinning, food trucks, car & bike show, a play area for the kids, AND charlottecowboys pulled up with the horses. It genuinely felt like a good ol’ country time out here! I grabbed a platter with a variety of things and spent around $53 - brisket, chicken, collard greens, potato salad & mac and cheese. My boy Moe aka thecouplewhoeatzz got the dino beef ribs and those things were CRAZY. Service was attentive too!
