Florida is preparing to carry out the execution of Mark Geralds this Tuesday, during what has already become the deadliest year for executions in our state’s history.
But serious concerns are being raised.
Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (FADP) says the case against Geralds is filled with problems: forensic evidence that didn’t match him, a defense that offered no real defense at trial, and questions about whether Geralds, diagnosed with Bipolar Manic Disorder, fully understood his decision to waive all remaining appeals after his death warrant was signed.
📢 Protests are planned
Organizations will gather Tuesday from 4:30–5:30 PM at Ulmerton Road and 49th Street North in Pinellas County to speak out against the execution.
