Colorado opened the 2026 season with a 14-13 comeback win over Georgia Tech Thursday night at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. A crowd of 52,113 packed the stadium for its first sellout in a season opener since 2006, and watched the Buffaloes trail 13-7 with under two minutes to play before quarterback Julian Lewis engineered a 75-yard drive in just eight plays, capping it with a 20-yard touchdown throw to tight end Charlie Williams to take the lead in the final minute. Georgia Tech had one last chance, moving into range for a 45-yard field goal to win it, but Boo Carter came flying off the edge to block the kick with three seconds left and seal Colorado's first win of the year.
