With a record-setting 3,185 entries into the 2026 Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts competition and a 10% acceptance rate, there are iconic works that didn’t make it into the state fair exhibition. Two art galleries in the Twin Cities will have some of the “rejected” fine art on display over the next several weeks. These shows are free, open to the public and don’t have the crowds of the fair.
