18 young drivers are getting their shot at F1Academy 👏 This year's Rookie Programme starts away from the track, with three days of physical, cognitive and performance testing at Loughborough University, before the drivers head to Navarra for the F1 Academy Rookie Test on September 9–11. But this isn't simply about setting the fastest lap. The programme gives F1 Academy, its teams and partners the chance to assess drivers both on and off track as they consider future full-time seats and wild card opportunities. And it has already proved to be a genuine route onto the grid: seven drivers from last year's Rookie Test secured full-time seats for 2026!
