Meet adoptable Lily Pad, an approximately 1 year old, 35 lb retriever mix who is a total sweetheart and the perfect balance of playful and calm. Lily Pad LOVES other dogs and has been a rockstar at adoption events - new humans and dogs are her jam! She especially loves getting to run and play, and she is already so good at fetch. She also knows sit and recall, and even responds to “touch” while she is playing with other dogs, which is honestly pretty impressive. She is also a smart girl who potties outside with a routine and has been making great progress becoming a Big Apple kind of gal. She can still get a little distracted by all the exciting outdoor things, which honestly is valid - we all get a little bit of a jump scare when we see a huge rat in the city! When playtime is over, Lily Pad is just as happy to lean into her cuddly side. She loves rubbing her face all over her people and is very ready to cash in on affection after a good run around.
