60 years ago today, "Space: the final frontier..." Star Trek (TOS) debuted on TV screens across the U.S. as starship Enterprise and its as crew boldly went where no one had gone before. As one of the defining science fiction series of the 20th century, Star Trek is well represented in our collection. The original starship Enterprise studio model used in filming of the Original Series is in our collection. It is currently off display as we upgrade its case, and will return to permanent display later this month. It appeared in all 79 episodes of the original series. In the same building you can see a pair of Spock ears from Leonard Nimoy's personal collection. We also have in our collection (though not on display) a filming model of a Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser and Tribble props.
