For the first time in our history, Meals on Wheels West has a waitlist. 93 homebound neighbors - veterans, retired teachers, longtime members of our community - are waiting for a meal, a wellness check, a friendly face. Not in a line. Just alone, at home. We're on track to hit 100 by the end of the month. That's 100 people with no one checking in on them. Our goal: move our 10 most vulnerable, longest-waiting neighbors into meal delivery through the end of the year. That's $14,000, and we need to hit it by Saturday, August 15.
