The Solheim Cup tees off this week, and Texas Golf Hall of Fame members have been part of the story from the start. Kathy Whitworth captained the very first solheimcupusa team in 1990, then again in 1992. Judy Rankin picked up right where she left off, captaining back-to-back teams in 1996 and 1998. Four of the first five Solheim Cups, captained by Texans. Stacy Lewis carried that torch more recently, captaining Team USA in 2023 and 2024, and she's a future Texas Golf Hall of Fame member herself.
