π± Something is growing at Monica Roberts Place and Project T! π±
This week, Monica Roberts Place Coordinator Kennedy B. and Executive Director Ciora Thomas gathered supplies to begin resident-led gardens at both Monica Roberts Place and Project T.
The gardens are already off to a great start with tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, lettuce, basil, parsley, cilantro, mint, corn, marigolds, and zinnias. π

As the cost of food continues to rise, we believe in creating opportunities for our residents to learn new skills, connect with one another, and have access to fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers right where they live.
Monica Roberts Place is SisTers PGHβs permanent supportive housing program serving Black and Brown transgender and non-binary adults. Residents will help maintain a rooftop garden designed to promote wellness, sustainability, community care, and access to fresh produce.
