Another new weekly series-- 🐾 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? 🐾 Each week, we'll share an interesting tidbit or quick tip pet owners may not know. 𝗔 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝗚𝗣𝗦 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲—𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀. This is a common misconception and while it would be nice, charging the battery would be challenging! Instead, a microchip contains a unique identification number. When a lost pet is found, a shelter or vet clinic can scan the chip and use that number to find the owner’s registered contact information. That means microchipping is only half the job! Make sure your pet’s chip is registered and that your phone number and address stay up to date. Not sure whether your pet is chipped or whether the information is current?
