Marathon running may look like a solo sport, but I assure you it is anything but. You may see a runner who ran the race alone, but you didn’t see: - The dad she got to train and travel with - The friend she met at the Tokyo Marathon chasing her around his home in support - The friends back home on the other side of the world who threw a Saturday night watch party to follow her little dot around a map for 6 hours - The countless friends and family sharing support for the weeks and days leading up to the race, during and after the race Marathon running may look like a solo sport, but marathoners are nothing without our incredible support crews.
