As part of our DPRD Athletics Summer Sports Series, Detroit Parks and Recreation Athletics is offering a FREE Futsal clinic!!! Our FREE clinic is co-ed for ages 6-14 and will be held on Thursday July 15th at Romanowski Park. The clinic will cover the fundamental skills of Futsal and will be taught by Coach Francois, Director of Regional Academy USYF and Head Coach of Mit West FC, a local pro-level futsal club. Coach Francois is a Futsal certified 3 NSCAA "D" Licensed Coach and also has an American Soccer Metrics Association Certification. Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that is played across the world and is played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, low bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity to get the youth introduced to this fun sport! Spots are limited.
