Today we received the below email from a valued resident😃 “I watch all the showcased videos of City of Detroit Service Dept. workers and I applaud their efforts. However, I am truly amazed and grateful for the dedication and hard work of the groundskeeper at Palmer Park. Daniel Baxter, Edward Carey and Kenneth Dancy work over and above to keep lawn and surrounding areas of park immaculately maintained. Palmer Park has come a long way this summer, the work that these guys do daily makes me feel good as I walk. I had to stop and commend them today because with my knee injury I wouldnt be able to walk unless the grass is mowed low as I cannot walk on cement. But moreover, I feel physically safe as well as emotionally safe because these men watch over me keeping me free from harm neighborhood elements e.g dogs, pandered and the disassociated people that sometimes linger in the park.
