Hey, neighbor Did you know our home galaxy — the Milky Way — has smaller galaxies that orbit around it? The biggest one, called the Large Magellanic Cloud, is "only" 160,000 light-years away. It's known for giving astronomers great views of newly-forming stars, like in the nebula seen here. The bubble in this image, as shown by NASAHubble, was created by the stars in the center pushing out the gas around them when they were born.
