1. Study the artists who inspire you, not just admire them. Watch their shots, their films, their choices, and figure out why they made them. 2. Shoot even when you don’t feel like it. The discipline is what builds the eye, not the mood. 3. Learn to edit your own work. You learnso much more from your own mistakes, not from watching someone else fix theirs. 4. Gear limitations only exist in your head. Emotion beats equipment every time. 5. Don’t be afraid to reference your inspo. Take it apart, make it yours, that’s the job. 6. Learn to lead creatively. A clear vision will always yield a better result. 7. Finish the project. Completion is what actually creates growth, whether it’s good or not. 8. ⁠Don’t get attached to your work. Attachment kills clarity. Cut what isn’t working in favor of the better piece.
