Tempe Beach Park is about to take on an entirely different feeling. Starting September 10, one of the most moving traditions we have in our community returns as the Exchange Club of Tempe fills Tempe Beach Park with nearly 3,000 American flags for the annual Tempe Healing Field® This year carries incredible significance as we come together to mark 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001. Each flag standing in the park represents an individual life lost, complete with bio cards and special markers honoring first responders, military veterans, and children. It is a deeply personal and powerful visual tribute.
