#SouthPark says its "changing its name" ahead of the show's 29th season.⁠ ⁠ Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced Tuesday that the show will supposedly change its title to 'South America.'⁠ ⁠ "Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA," the duo wrote in a press release. "We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation."⁠ ⁠ The move mocks President Trump's fixation with trying to change the names of geographic features to say "America" — such as directing the federal government to refer to the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario as the Gulf of America and Lake America, respectively.⁠ ⁠ Read more at the link in bio.
